You can park on J.F.K. Drive or Fulton St. which border either side of the course, usually. Watch out for large weekend events that take place frequently on summer weekends.
Directions to the Golden Gate Park Disc Golf Course in San Francisco, California
The Golden Gate Park Disc Golf Course is located in Marx Meadow between 25th and 30th avenues on the North side of the park. It is across the street and north a bit from Speedway Meadow.

BART. Bay Area Rapid Transit
- Take BART to the Civic Center Station and walk down to the MUNI underground station.
- Then follow the MUNI directions below.
MUNI Bus lines that get you there (or close enough)
- Bus #5 -- get off at 25th or 30th and Fulton.
- Bus #29 -- get off at 25th and Fulton.
- Bus #31 -- get off between 25th and 30th and Balboa and walk two blocks to the park.
- Bus #28 -- get off where cross-over drive branches off from Park Presidio bypass drive.
- Bus #38 -- get off at 25th and Geary and walk the 4 long blocks into the park.
Driving (in a car) Directions:
- I-80 West over the Bay Bridge (there's a $2 toll coming this direction on the bridge).
- Turn LEFT onto HARRISON ST.
- Turn RIGHT onto 9TH ST.
- Turn SLIGHT LEFT onto HAYES ST.
- Turn LEFT onto GOUGH ST.
- Turn RIGHT onto FELL ST.
- Turn SLIGHT LEFT onto KEZAR DR.
- Stay straight to go onto JOHN F KENNEDY DR.
- From here it's about 1.4 miles into the park on your right. Once you pass TRANSVERSE DR. Marx Meadow will be the next meadow on your RIGHT. You will see a course sign in the meadow near the path and hole #1 tees off from the path.
From the East BayArea or OAK Oakland, CA Airport:
- 101-South over the Golden Gate Bridge (there's a $5 toll coming this direction on the bridge).
- Merge onto CA-1 S toward 19TH AVE/ GOLDEN GATE PARK.
- Turn RIGHT onto CROSS OVER DR.
- Turn LEFT onto TRANSVERSE DR.
- Turn RIGHT onto JOHN F KENNEDY DR.
- From here Marx Meadow will be the next meadow on your RIGHT. You will see a course sign in the meadow near the path and hole #1 tees off from the path.
From the North Bay Area:
- 101 North towards San Francisco
- Merge onto I-280 North towards San Francisco
- Take CA-1 North toward 19TH AVENUE/GOLDEN GATE BRIDGE.
- LEFT onto CROSS OVER DR.
- Turn LEFT onto TRANSVERSE DR.
- Turn RIGHT onto JOHN F KENNEDY DR.
- From here Marx Meadow will be the next meadow on your RIGHT. You will see a course sign in the meadow near the path and hole #1 tees off from the path.
From the South Bay Area or SFO San Francisco, CA Airport:
If you get lost, it's probably for the best. You may very well have saved yourself a few discs today.
