Parks and Recreation Meeting on Sunday, February 8, 1:00pm

(directions below)

The San Francisco department of Parks and Recreation held a community meeting on Thursday, December 18 on the subject of installing a disc golf course in McLaren Park. The result of the meeting was a need for another meeting to get more community input on the proposal. Walk-throughs of the proposed course with members of the community have been scheduled, and Conrad Damon, Ross Hammond, and Leonard Muise are going to lead them.

The meeting on Sunday, February 8 is a MUST ATTEND for any and all disc golfers, their friends, and relatives living in San Francisco, especially those in the Excelsior, Portola or Visitacion Valley districts. This is a community meeting for a San Francisco park, and we need to have as many San Franciscans as we can get at the meeting, voicing their support for the course.

So far we have the support of The Friends of McLaren Park, the Recreation Director of McLaren Park, the Head of Athletic Curriculum for the San Francisco Unified School District, and the Physical Education Instructors of the schools surrounding McLaren Park. Now we need you, and all of your family and friends to show up.

Remember, disc golf is a family sport, that will benefit everyone involved in the park. SHOW UP!
