November, 1998: The Results Are In!
At the November meeting of the SFDGC the club elected new officers for 1999. Greg Quiroga and Dan Warburton were re-elected President and Secretary, respectively. The club elected to recognize Ross Hammond for all of the work he continues to do on the club and the sport's behalf by electing Ross Outreach Director. The club also decided that the job of Treasurer had outgrown any single individual, and the position was split into two complimentary components: membership and merchandise. Ken Ingrey was elected Treasurer in charge of membership, and David Jaques was elected Treasurer in charge of merchandise. Ken has already been hard at work creating a database of members, as well as mailing lists of interested parties. David has a jump-start on the job, and has already acquired SFDGC pencils. Look for them at a Nor Cal tournament near you soon!Thanks to members like John Starr, Joel Verby, Mike Gunnell, Kenny Ritchie, and Tom Pitmon the club continues to grow and learn. The progress we have made in the last year is astounding, and our plans for the future continue to evolve. The San Francisco Disc Golf Club is going to be around for a while, and we are going to bring some great things to this city and this sport. If you haven't been keeping your eye on us, it's never too late to start!
