World's Biggest, May 15-16, 1999

The San Francisco Disc Golf Club is working with the San Francisco Friends of Parks and Recreation to bring World's Biggest to the city of San Francisco. On the weekend of May 15/16, we will be installing 18-hole and 9-hole temporary courses in Golden Gate Park. The Friends of Rec and Park are graciously sponsoring entrance fees for 150 San Francisco youths, as well as helping out with obtaining permits, getting restroom access, and all of that good stuff that comes with throwing an event in Golden Gate Park.

All day Saturday, there will be a nine-hole short-course set up near the Polo Fields. This course is designed for children and beginners. Experienced golfers will be stoked to learn that we are going to have an 18-hole version of our world-class Safari layout set up all day Saturday as well. Due to the fact that the finish line for Bay to Breakers will be at the Polo Fields on Sunday, May 16, we are going to reduce our presence to a simple nine-hole course, starting and ending at the 25th and Lincoln entrance to the park.
